2012

Hope the holidays treated all of you well. It’s great to spend quality time with close family and friends. It’s the simplest things in life that sometimes we overlook. Busy work schedules, school, and all other things that fall in between tend to blind us from what really matters most. 2011 was full of great accomplishments and learning experiences for me. I would like to thank all my friends and family that helped support and share knowledge along this crazy journey. In 2012, I hope to keep sending out positive vibes and work on my craft as best as I can. The new year has plenty to unfold, it’s been great working with all of you and I really look forward to working together on bigger and better things in the future. At the end of the day, I’m just another kid working hard towards my dream. I know you are too! So let’s work together and make this happen. Thanks so much for the support! Have a great 2012, from my family to yours!

2012 Real Bartenders New Year

Last night I had the chance to be a part of ‘The Real Bartenders New Year’ held at Elixer Ultra Lounge. The event was sponsored by Midnight Guru, Digital Dave, and numerous alcohol brands. It was a great time catching up with friends and chatting about plans for the new years. Events like these really inspire me to broaden my music knowledge and refine my skills, so much talent in Pittsburgh! On the other side of town that night some good friends of mine had another Bartender’s ball at Static. I did not get a chance to make it out, but I hope it went well! Welcoming 2012 was very hectic but extremely fun, I had great time with family and friends. I hope that 2012 is prosperous for you and your close ones! Let’s enjoy ourselves while we are still here on Earth because we all know the world is ending soon! Thanks for reading, Happy New Year!

Timebomb Holiday Night Class Edition w/ Statik Selektah

What’s up everyone? Hope you enjoyed your holiday with family and friends! Tomorrow (December 28th) the homies at Timebomb are throwing a Holiday party at AVA Lounge in Pittsburgh. Statik Selektah (ShowOff Records, Shade45 Radio) will be headlining the night. My dude Outtareach and I will be on the decks as well earlier in the night. If you are a hip-hop head and are around the Pittsburgh area, this is an event you do not want to miss! AVA Lounge offers a very intimate atmosphere with artists and the crowd, unlike any other venue in Pittsburgh. I am extremely excited for this event. Statik is a power house in the hip-hop world, and a huge inspiration to younger producers and DJs. The event is +21 but there will be an all ages meet & greet at Timebomb Shop (200 S. Highland Ave, Pittsburgh PA) at 4pm. While you’re there be sure to peep Timebomb’s new winter line! I can’t wait! Hope to see you all there!

DJ Battle at Ink Fest Live Washington DC

Last week I had the opportunity to throw down a battle set at Nationals Park for Ink Fest Live. The event was sponsored by Monster DJ, WATC Sports, and the Beat Refinery. Battle rules were as follows: One 30 second scratch round followed by three, two minute, head-to-head rounds. I went head to head against DJ Slice from Virginia. Much respect goes out to Slice and the OG set he threw down on all vinyl! I put together a hybrid of DMC meets Threestyle battle set. I wanted to be able to show some skill while at the same time play songs that people recognized. For the scratch round I used Red Cafe’s “I’m Ill” instrumental. Round 1: I started with a beat juggle of the Glitch Mob’s remix of Wale’s “Freaxxx” then went into Mac Miller’s Smile back, chopping up “Fuck you what you need” and “Pittsburgh let me show the world just where my city at”. I also dropped D-Pryde’s “No Sleep”, Saigon’s “Clap”, and ended the battle with a juggle and cut routine to Skrillex’s “Fucking Die”. I won the scratch round and final round, but Slice took the other 3. Hats off to Slice, his set was extremely clean and showmanship was definitely on point. I gathered enough points to qualify for the next round in Atlanta. I am extremely nervous but have plenty of time to put something dope together. Overall it was a great experience, I have never been a part of a battle of this format. I have learned so much and made great connections down DC, hopefully I will be back there someday. I know what to bring next time, so my next set will be much better. Keep posted for more to come! Also, shout out to my dude Tiny Tim for tagging along for the trip and taking pictures! Thanks for reading!

Here We Go Steelers!

Black & Yellow

So tomorrow is a big day for Pittsburgh. The Steelers take on the Jets for the AFC Championship right here in Heinz Field. Pittsburgh’s own Wiz Khalifa will be performing before the big game as well. There is not as much trash talk between teams compared to last weeks game with the Ravens. Maybe the Jets are scared?? Here’s ESPN’s preview to the game tomorrow… http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/23672/final-word-jets-at-steelers. It’s going to be a battle out there, CAN’T WAIT to see the Steelers crush those Jets
